One of my 2011 goals was to create all the pieces of my branding in order to represent my business to potential clients. I am still working with my awesome designer Karrie Pyke on my website, but I am happy to say that I have completed all of my other branding pieces. I am really very excited to share them with you as I feel they truly reflect my brand: vintage, pretty in a clean modern way, handmade, and environmentally-aware. I am also very proud to say that I designed and made almost all of these items myself!
This is the client folder I give to engaged couples when we meet. The folder is from ReBinder (who I discovered via Karrie Pyke), and is made form recycled materials. I love the craft paper look of it. I modified the folder by attaching a ribbon to both sides with an X-Acto knife and glue gun; the ribbon ties to close the folder. I also designed the label on the front, based on Karrie Pyke’s logo design for me. The logo is hand-stamped by me in a gray ink.

Inside the folder is a sample wedding photography contract and informational materials for my clients, all of which were designed by me. The type face and little flourishes on each side of the header are taken from my logo, which was design by Karrie Pyke.

My regular business card is vertical (which you’ll see in a bit), and it didn’t look good sideways when it was put in the business card slot in the folder, so I designed a simple one with my logo and website address. You can see the linen texture of the paper, which I used for all the postcards and papers in my folder.

The back of the postcards feature favorite photos of mine accompanied by a distressed border. I based the rest of the postcard design on my business card, designed by Karrie Pyke, which I love.

The fronts of the informational postcards all feature a light shadow text in the background, mimicking the header title. It’s a unique touch that I quite like.

Here is another of the postcard’s backs, featuring a photo from Cindy & Steve’s engagement session.
This is some of the packaging I use in mailings to clients: linen paper stationary hand-stamped with my logo, string-tie craft paper envelopes, and my DVD case.

The label on the envelope was designed by me and features a hand-stamped logo.

My DVD cases are also from ReBinder. Besides being environmentally-friendly, the craft paper sleeve is about 100 more times attractive than a plastic case. The labels on both the front of the sleeve and the actual DVD were designed by me. The logo on the sleeve is hand-stamped.

And finally, here are my fabulous business cards. The linen-paper, round-corner cards were designed by Karrie Pyke and printed by Posh Paperie. You can see how the designs on the rest of my branding items were either based on or inspired by the cards. To give credit where credit is due, there is no way I would have been able to pull all of this together without Karrie’s design. She is a true talent and really gets what clients want (and we also happen to have amazingly similar taste!). And FYI, Karrie and Elizabeth of Posh Paperie also do wedding invitation design!
